Lynette is passionate about expressing the colourful organic shapes of our natural world. Motivated by beauty, she hopes to inspire others to reflect, find peace, appreciate, and protect what we have been given. Inspiration for her paintings occurs outdoors while exploring and photographing our outstanding Thompson Okanagan.
Emboldened by the creativity of her grandfather, great aunt and father, she attained her Fine Arts Diploma from Okanagan College, Kelowna, and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria. She has shown at the Lake Country Art Gallery, Kelowna Art Gallery, Vernon Community Arts Centre, Vernon Public Art Gallery, Gallery Vertigo and Penticton Art Gallery, and is in private collections across Canada.
Lynette paints intuitively with watercolour, oil, and acrylic. She utilizes a limited palette of transparent colours, with the intention of making her subject glow.
