Lynette began to draw at an early age on any surface available, including walls. She was influenced by the photography and painting of her maternal grandfather, great aunt and father. Her first childhood camera was her grandfather's medium format camera; she later inherited his oil paints and brushes. Born in Kamloops, British Columbia, she received her Fine Arts Diploma at Okanagan College, Kelowna, and Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Victoria.
Lynette's preferred art mediums are acrylics and photography. More recently though, she has delved into watercolours and inks hoping to loosen up her realism style with a touch of impressionism.
She strives to find beauty in all things, and is known to explore different angles of view. She seeks inspiration for her paintings while enjoying time outside photographing, camping, hiking, kayaking and gardening.
